What if they weren't done with their calendar and got abducted by aliens?

Im just saying that calendar could have been simply incomplete

If its not...

That means the cycle of new life, not necessarily the end of the human race, although if im correct it will be.
Last time it was dinosaurs that ruled the school, this time us, next time?

Only god knows.(Not trying to be super religious, but i am christian)

Interesting thought, but their calendar only gives us the dates. There were lots of other records left behind (what the Spanish were not able to destroy) that gives the specific of our destiny....all except the last page. It's a cliff hanger for sure.

And of course there are the ancient records of other cultures around the world that state the same information.

It "is" incomplete, but after 12.21.2012 time becomes irrelevant when we enter into the next Age, so its kind of hard to record the passage of time when time is no longer an issue.

A little more research might show you that mankind lives on for thousands of years more just in the Age of Aquarius. Who knows how it goes after that. We are in for an awesome future.

Of course, if you have your feet set in concrete as a mortal here on Earth you may have a problem dealing with what's to come.

This is the ending of the 4th time (that we know of) that mankind has evolved and been destroyed. I have a feeling our souls have been evolving for a much longer period than that and there are conjectures that mankind may have actually lived with the dinosaurs, but until something is unburied or documented........

It is documented that this is graduation time of sorts for mankind here on earth and I anticipate that Earth will next see another specie(s) evolve further during the next thousand years or so while the Earth is here. Earth, for whatever reason, seems to be a rare and premium incubator of life forms, especially when our DNA is being tweaked by higher life forms.

Then you should know that much of what is stated is in the very document you live by....in its complete form and not the translations/revisions done for "easier reading". And, of course you know that Christianity ends in less than 5 years and Christ said he would be with us to the end of the age. What position he and us take in the next Age is kind of unknown at this point, but perhaps clarification will be received as we get closer to 12.21.2012.

I belive it is complete, but its not 'the end'. Its complete because the calender is a record of cycles. this is the end of the last cycle, then it will reset to the first, so theres no need for them to repeat the stuff they've already calculated and written.

I also belive that it is incomplete if you span this out over a long enough period, but the mayans werent around long enough to observe this time sample. Like say one revolution around the galaxy might take a billion years. In that time there would most likely be changes to the 5 cycle(or 4 whatever the mayans had) wheel depending on galactic conditions in certain quadrants of the galaxy. But its a pointless argument because more then likely by the time we cycle through a quadrant there will no long be a human race(through evolution or extinction).

good thought. I wish I could remember the exact time frame but when I was a kid, some 18 or 20 years ago there was a show on tv ( I think the discovery channel nt sure was only ever allowed to watch learning stuff heh) there was a computer type chip found in america in the desert, it was incased in a stone and dated back before science say man was supposed to be here on earth. Another show I remember seeing is one about a fossolized foot print in africa , of a foot like ours now not pre historic man. Also dated back before the time man was supposed to be here so I think after this is al said and done perhaps the age of enlightenment will unlock the mysteries that hold us at bay right now.....or teach me to spell better lol.

One thing to remember about the Mayan Long Count Calendar .... It is cyclic meaning that when it goes around completely, it starts all over again.

December 21st, 2012 is not the END of the World, it is the End of the World AS WE KNOW IT ! There is a huge difference between the two statements.

Also, the Mayan's, Inca's and Aztec's did not fully disappear. There are remnants of their cultures in South and North America. They are forever part of this landscape. We know them by other names, but still they remain.

Take events from the past, and apply them to other events. Probably due to disease, that's the most simplest explanation.

Although the Mayan people moved out of the cities, they did NOT disappear. There were were millions to greet the conquistadores and well, they are still here living pretty much where they always have in lower Mexico, Guatamala, and Belize. Some scholars think that the cities might have been abandoned because of drought, but that is just one theory. The diseases brought by the Europeans didn't even kill all of them although they decimated the ranks. So maybe I'm just not understanding the question. LoL

In the last little while I have been reading alot about the Mayans. I have been trying to find what their views are today. Anyways, I always keep coming across this:

Old Chan Kin, the spiritual leader of the Lancandon Maya, once predicted that when the last Maya dies, the world will end. Chan kin died in December 1996 at over 100 years old. Let us hope that his prophecy never comes to pass.

The surviving Mayans today all live in Mexico and Northern South America.

I don't know if there is anything to this, lets hope not. Char

I know its said in some circles the Mayans may have ascended to a higher dimension, same with the Anasazi indians who lived in my neck of the woods in Arizona, they dissappeared with out a trace also.. Thats just speculation though, but I dunno, maybe, I personally believe in higher dimensions,...

If they mastered time and space maybe they just popped out for a few millennia and will pop back in in 2012. Kind of like a cosmic "out to lunch".

MAYBE THEY were the Aliens ????

Did they just simply move away ? Just Visiting ? Simply etch carvings into a Stone / Rock for us to be bewildered over ?

Was it time travel forward to 12 / 21 / 12 ? And they saw what will unravel ?

Why does it occure ?

Where did they go ? HOME , I bet !!!!

Inregards to the Anasazi Indians in Arizona , there's always the Superstition mtns that they could be living under.

Just like the Huge City that's suppose to be under Mt. Shasta in Northern California.

All these rivers that flow out of these Volcano 's could be waste products being dispensed out of the under world.

Makes sense if ya ask me.

I'd like to try to take a hike up some of these head waters and see how far it would allow you to hike in , with out being met by something.
