I got married 30 + years ago , and I would NEVER WASTE My Money on a stupid dress you wear only 1 time.

I don't have one of those fancy diamond rings ladies are so ga-ga to own.
I had a gold band. $ 20.00
I hate jewlery , haven't worn my ring in almost 29 years.

Women want to much stuff for a wedding.

My entire wedding cost $45.00 Preacher and Cake. ($23.00 for the cake & $ 22.00 for the preacher)

Yes Glenda, there is way too much sha hit on this "2012"-oriented forum. Please refrain from contributing to it.
If a wedding dress, be it begged borrowed bought or stolen, is among anyone's concerns regarding 2012, then they have serious problems that will probably not be resolved before 2012.

It's time for yet another 'reality check'. How many of you girls plan on lugging a vacuum-packed bridal gown around the wilderness for God knows how long? Not many of you I imagine, that's good.

In case you hadn't realized, the sentimental 'value' of accoutrements is greatly diminished in times such as those we face now.
Sorry to have to tell you this but Aunty Mabel's teapot-warmer is headed to oblivion.

My Goodness , why should anyone care about a wedding dress if and when 2012 unfolds ?

It's just an article of Clothes.

A life is more important then a Yard of Silk and Lace.
